I use a non-traditional medium to create a classic image, casting a connection between the modern open-ended attitude of using anything at my disposal, and then tie it to classical art. Emulating the mosaic approach draws a connection with the past. The need for the power of imagery will always be prevalent.

We are leaving a phase of being overwhelmed by the lack of restraints or categories of what art is or can be. We see that the purpose of art is to provide a mirror to our experience. We have opened our minds beyond the need to compartmentalize art, and have embraced the freedom to include all possibilities. This awareness will be how this movement will be seen historically.
